Plan B Superfuture Promo

When I think of Plan B, I think of hype. Super this, Mega that, and “the legacy” to preserve. Besides the played-out song selection, Superfuture was a great promo that got me psyched on the next Plan B video ; which is wonderful because I only have to wait till 2010 for it. Seriously. 2010. Regardless, you can’t knock on new fresh footage from Decenzo, Way, Wenning, Rogers, Ladd, Gallant, Duffy, Mckay, Rodriguez and of course Sheckler. I don’t have to tell you how talented everyone is on the team, each skater bringing his specialty to the Plan B table.
Scott Decenzo starts out the promo with some solid footage, throwing down a half cab noseslide to nollie flip out. I didn’t think his tricks had much unique style or personality, but there’s no denying he can produce some quality footage. The juggernaut Danny Way comes in next and does not fail to disappoint. Megaramp fan or not, you cannot deny how ridiculous all of his tricks are, in difficulty and risk factor. Continuing to push the Vert envelope farther and farther, Danny Way throws down Backflip Rocket Airs and 360 flip manuals over the Megaramp. The pool footage was a highlight, Way doing raw tricks out of the pool such as frontside heelflip sans grab. PJ Ladds footage was refreshing, skating lines in Boston bringing us back to Ladds Wonderful Horrible Life era. There’s no need for me to comment on Gallant Mckay and Rodriguez. All super respected skaters with mind-blowing footage. Fast forward to one of the most controversial figures of skateboarding; Ryan Sheckler. Look past his lame intro footage, whiny personality and lack of switch tricks. He goes big, and he does it with such consistency and bolts that it’s almost comical to watch. His ender is like a mini leap of faith, throwing a kickflip down the gap as if it were as easy as an ollie down a 5 stair. Overall, take 14 minutes out of your day and peep the promo. Believe the hype.
