There can be alot of pressure on a sk8er before a contest.
Not for these guys, they are always chill and relaxed. You can usually find them lurking around before practice or competitions in a game of skate. (This particular session went on for 2 hours with Danny winning).
Its no wonder why this group always places high in the finals. For them the contest is just another game of sk8!

    World Cup Skateboarding Cash Money Give-away

    As we all know the Dew Tour stopped in Salt Lake City. What does not get a lot of coverage are the events that happen in between the prelims and finals of AST competition. Interstate was there to capture when Dave Duncan of World Cup Skateboarding put out an invite out to the pros for a cash money give away contest. The spot, South Jordan Skate Park, one of SLC’s many suburban public parks. Duncan handed out 20s,50s and 100 dollar bills to any one who was ripping. Many showed up including Fabrizio Santos, Rodney Jones, Julian Etheridge, Mathieu Therres, and Pete Eldrige to name a few.

      Rodney Jones: Hot Rod

      After a cold summer on the AST Dew tour, Rodney Jones is hot again. Jones placed no higher than 9th in the past five contest. Until he went to the LG Championships in Dallas. Last year he placed 7th in the street event. After cruising the big transitioned course that was set up for bikers and skaters, I could tell by the shit grin on his face, Jonesy would do well. Rodney, a street and mini ramp skater, loves a 8′ ramp as much as the tre flips down a ten step. Two strong Prelim runs put him in 7th for the finals on Sunday. Rodney charged it and placed 4th. Congradulations to him! Look for Rodney to enter the Volcom mini ramp contest coming January 08 in Orlando.
